Captivating Debut as Soprano Soloist with Trondheim Soloist

April / 24: Norwegian soprano Eldrid Gorset made a triumphant debut as soprano soloist at the iconic Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim with acclaimed Trondheim Soloists. The performance was particularly meaningful for Gorset, as she returned to her former hometown and sang just a stone’s throw from her former high school, Trondheim Katedralskole.

Carmina Burana debut

March / 24: Eldrid Gorset recently made her debut as soprano soloist in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, conducted by Philip Faber with the Esbjerg Singing Academy.

Eurydice debut at the Norwegian Opera

Nov / 23: The versatile soprano made her debut as Eurydice in Offenbach’s Orpheo in the Underworld in Vidar Magnussen’s vibrant and playful staging. The opera is sung and spoken in Norwegian, and contains ‘Can Can- dancing’, spicy costumes and the outstanding Kristoffer Olsen as ‘The Public Opinion’.

Season 22/23

The Royal Danish Opera has just announced their next season’s program, and Eldrid is making three new roles debuts as she enters into her second year as a Young Artist. Season 22/23 includes the colourful characters Clorinda, Frasquita, and last but not least, the smart and edgy Despina.

Digital concert at Troldhaugen

April / 21: The season’s first concert at Troldhaugen can now be streamed. Eldrid Gorset and pianist Olga Jørgensen are presenting three opus of Agathe Backer Grøndahl and Edvard Grieg.

Cancelled: Operaen i Kristiansund

April / 21: Due to the ongoing pandemic, Forelska i Händel (In Love with Händel), is postponed indefinitely. The performance was part of The Opera in Kristiansund’s “Festukene”, and is a playful and new performance created by Eldrid’s Opera Company Skeive Stemmer.
